Tomo Tanaka joins Impact Terra as Chief Operations Officer
Introducing our new COO!
We are excited to announce that Tomo Tanaka is joining Impact Terra as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Tomo has over 8 years of experience managing projects, designing and executing solutions, as well as developing teams and individuals.
Tomo was previously a Manager at Bain & Company advising clients on strategic and operational issues. He has also been a Business Development Manager for projects involving technology, agriculture and financial services in frontier markets, including smallholder contract farming in East Africa.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSc degree from the London School of Economics (LSE). He is passionate about food security and sustainability, as well as socio-economic and human capital development. Tomo can be reached at tomo@impactterra.com
Impact Terra is participating in the Global Entrepreneurship Week
Join us on November 14th!
From the 13th to the 19th of November the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is organized in Yangon. The Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of entrepreneurship. During this week many events are organised for and by entrepreneurs.
As part of the GEW Impact Terra is organizing a workshop about developing new digital solutions to enhance the agricultural value chain. The workshop is guided by our team.
In small teams we will brainstorm about the question "how can digital technology play a role in enhancing the agricultural value chain?".
After pitching the possible solutions, the ideas are put to a vote. Based on the outcome we will spend time discussing how to put in practice: what are potential ways forward, taking into account the different stakeholders involved?
In a one-hour session we move from vision to action!

As of this month farmers can access information from the Plant Protection Division directly on our platform!
The Plant Protection Division, PPD, is part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
The PPD has selected Golden Paddy as a partner for distributing their information on effective and safe usage of pesticides on agricultural crops.
The PPD collaborates with Golden Paddy to reach even more farmers, making the information available to farmers in an instant!
