Golden Paddy launches Gold Coin Rewards Program
Golden Paddy will be integrating a Gold Coin Rewards Program that rewards users with digital tokens (gold coins) for using features and services of the app. The rewards program has six levels (i.e. member, silver, gold, jade, ruby, and diamond) based on the accumulation of gold coins, which correspond to virtual rewards. The details of the program will be available on the app and on Golden Paddy’s Facebook page. Impact Terra kicked off the Gold Coin Program on a recent trip to meet with our key farmers in Southern Shan State who are helping us to develop and test the app. We upgraded these farmers to silver level status as a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable support.

Wageningen University and Research strengthens local maize production protocol
Our agricultural expert partners from Wageningen University and Research (WUR) have helped us to validate and strengthen the local Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) protocol for maize initially developed by Myanmar's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MoALI). The protocol is being used as the basis for an agrononic model that WUR is developing, which will eventually provide more specific advice for farmers. GAP advice on topics such as field management, crop protection, and harvest will also be available on Golden Paddy.
