Services Operations Manager

Impact Terra is a leading provider of analytics for the global food and agriculture market. The company focuses on improving food security and reducing climate risk. Its software-based platforms provide businesses and governments with global agriculture & climate analytics, and smallholder farmers with actionable advice. Impact Terra was founded in Myanmar in 2016 and currently operates from Amsterdam with clients across the world. 

Our Golden Paddy Crop Insights Portal (GPCI) aggregates and analyzes trillions of data points from satellites and weather stations and provides meaningful insights that enable informed agricultural decision making. The portal provides decision makers with easy to use dashboards, maps and alerts. GPCI enables clients across the global food, feed, insurance, finance and government sectors to make fact-based decisions.

The GPCI portal is providing actionable insights to several clients across the globe. Our sales team is expanding our client base at a rapid pace and therefore we will see a tremendous growth in users on the portal in 2021. We are therefore looking for an experienced individual to take on the role of Service Operations Manager. The candidate needs a proven track record in insights / information services development, service operations management (including standardization and optimization) and client relationship management. The ideal candidate excites our client’s users, inspires us to develop more advanced services and ensures all operations run smoothly. Experience in service development and management for Software-as-a-Service (Saas) solutions, a strong data-driven mindset and an affinity with agriculture are key. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

There is no standard job description for this entrepreneurial and challenging role. The candidate should be a visionary entrepreneur with a no-nonsense, critical and constructive attitude whose responsibilities include:

  • Understand and translate client requirements into new services and existing service improvements

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of services, in coordination with the product, technology and agronomy team

  • Ensure perfect service delivery to clients and timely and constructive feedback to internal teams to ensure the highest service level

  • Standardize and optimize service operations processes, including the development and implementation of SOPs and KPIs

  • Guarantee the highest level of client satisfaction, leading to not only contract renewals but upselling 

  • Provide feedback and co-develop our offering and product with sales, product and agronomy departments

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record in service operations of SaaS solutions

  • Significant experience with big-data / analytics services development

  • Affinity with and drive for improving agriculture and climate resilience 

  • Strong storylining and messaging skills for reporting and client communications (verbal and written)

  • Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with key-decision makers and day to day users

  • Excellent communication and entrepreneurial skills to ensure the highest level of service delivery with limited resources

  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated

  • Based remotely, with possible relocation to Amsterdam post-COVID
