Sales Lead Generator - Asia Pacific

Our Golden Paddy Crop Insights Portal (GPCI) aggregates and analyzes trillions of data points from satellites and weather stations and provides meaningful insights that enable informed agricultural decision making. The portal provides decision makers with easy to use dashboards, maps and alerts. GPCI enables clients across the global food, feed, insurance, finance and government sectors to make fact-based decisions.

After 3 years of investment in the development of our technology, product, services and partnerships, we are now ready to expand our client base across the globe. For this purpose, we are looking for an experienced individual to take on the role of Sales Lead Generator for Asia Pacific (APAC).  The candidate needs a proven track record in identifying and qualifying sales lead opportunities in agriculture, particularly in commodity trading, agri-financing, agri-insurance or agri-production. A strong network in India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia are key. Experience with B2B sales lead generation for Software-as-a-Service (Saas) solutions is ideal. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The lead generation support person / agency will be responsible for:

  • Identify companies, organizations, government agencies which could benefit from our insights solutions, specifically in:

    • Countries: India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia)

    • Sectors: Food and feed producers, commodity traders, climate insurers, financial institutions (banks, microfinance) focused on agri-financing

  • Qualify these organisations

  • Identify relevant roles/department within the qualified organisations who can benefit from our insights solutions

  • Qualify these roles/departments

  • Identify and profile people in these roles/departments to ensure the first communication is as personal and specific as possible

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in agriculture, particularly in commodity trading, agri-financing, agri-insurance or agri-production is preferred but not mandatory

  • Knowledge of the market in India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia is preferred but not mandatory

  • Experience with lead generation support in the form of prospection, data gathering, contact database building, lead categorisation

  • Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated

  • Weekly reporting to the Business Development team

  • Proficiency in English and at least one of the local languages for the above mentioned markets

  • Freelance / flexible contract with minimum commitment of 3 days per week
