Branding & Marketing Manager

Impact Terra is a leading provider of analytics for the global food and agriculture market. The company focuses on improving food security and reducing climate risk. Its software-based platforms provide businesses and governments with global agriculture & climate analytics, and smallholder farmers with actionable advice. Impact Terra was founded in Myanmar in 2016 and currently operates from Amsterdam and Singapore. The company raised USD 3 million of growth funding till date.

Our Golden Paddy Crop Insights Portal (GPCI) aggregates and analyzes trillions of data points from satellites and weather stations and provides meaningful insights that enable informed agricultural decision making. The portal provides decision makers with easy to use dashboards, maps and alerts. GPCI enables clients across the global food, feed, insurance, finance and government sectors to make fact-based decisions.

After 3 years of investment in the development of our technology, product, services and partnerships, we are now expanding our client base across the globe. For this purpose, we are looking for an experienced individual to take on the role of Branding & Marketing Manager. The candidate needs a proven track record in branding and marketing to B2B clients, with particular focus on Software-as-a-Service solutions and sectors like commodity trading, agri-financing, agri-insurance or agri-production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

There is no standard job description for this entrepreneurial and challenging role. The candidate should be a visionary entrepreneur with a no-nonsense, critical and constructive attitude whose responsibilities include:

  • Develop the branding strategy for the Golden Paddy Crop Insights portal 

  • Develop the marketing strategy for the Golden Paddy Crop Insights portal

  • Manage the marketing budget ensuring high ROI 

  • Develop branding and marketing content and materials

  • Implement digital marketing campaigns 

  • Develop, organize and lead marketing events, ranging from webinars to physical events

  • Support the development of use cases and pitches for different client segments

  • Consistently increase conversion in the branding and marketing funnel (e.g. awareness, interest, desire, action) to feed the sales team with prospective clients 

  • Provide feedback and co-develop offering and product with Business Development, Sales, Operations and Product Development departments

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record in building a B2B brand from scratch, ideally for SaaS solutions

  • Proven track record in digital marketing, ranging from SEO to paid marketing 

  • Experience in managing public relations and media

  • Strong understanding of and network in commodity trading, agri-financing, agri-insurance or agri-production 

  • Excellent communication and entrepreneurial skills to continuously improve the understanding and targeting of prospective clients 

  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated

  • Based remotely, with possible relocation to Amsterdam or Singapore post-COVID

  • Driven by bonus scheme leading to significant upside in compensation
