product manager - GOLDEN PADDY APP

We are looking for a motivated product manager for Golden Paddy App with an interest in agriculture. You will have the opportunity to develop smartphone-based products that will be used by millions of farmers in Myanmar and other South-East Asian countries.

You will be responsible for driving the development of the Golden Paddy Mobile Application and Back-end system. Golden Paddy interfaces with farmers through its Android application and provides service that help farmers improve their productivity, access markets and get better financial products. You will be based in Yangon, Myanmar. You will have the opportunity to go into the field to directly interact with our users to improve our product and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support in developing the long-term vision and strategy for the Golden Paddy system

  • Develop system architecture

  • Research user needs and app interaction – both from farmers, clients and internal team

  • Develop product roadmap

  • Implement product roadmap

    • Prioritize and develop product sprints (using Agile)

    • Develop product functionalities/features using user centered design practices like storyboards and

    • mockups

    • Manage production using tools like JIRA/Trello

    • Develop and manage quality assurance process

    • Assist product development team during development sprints

  • Perform performance analysis on existing and new features/functionalities, including a/b testing

  • Recruit/hire and manage product and technology team(s)

  • Manage server architecture and app performance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Based in Yangon, Myanmar with occasional travel to rural areas

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in the field

  • Proven track record in driving product development

  • Experience with PM tools, target setting and performance management

  • Strong ICT skills

  • Myanmar and English language skills

  • Highly motivated to quickly learn and pick up new skills
